The 3D CAD design process involves creating a digital 3D model of a product or part using computer-aided design (CAD) software. We begin by defining the design requirements from your idea or a rough sketch. Then the model is built using geometric shapes and tools within the software. Our designers refine the model by adding features like holes, fillets, and textures, ensuring accuracy and functionality. The design can then be viewed and verified. Once finalised, the model is digitally exported for manufacturing via 3D printing or other methods when required. This process can be repeated at various stages to better refine the design to your requirements.
Why It Matters
A CAD model is required for us to 3D print a part, this must either be supplied, designed or scanned.
Having us design your part allows for modifications to be made quickly, reducing the overall production development timeline.
Visual renders of the part can provide early feedback in the design process, allowing multiple iterations of the design to be done before a part is physically produced.
